HIDDEN: A ROOKWOOD SCULPTURE WALK
Rookwood Cemetery has been operating since 1867, and is one of the largest cemeteries in Australia. The Anglican and General Cemetery Trusts are responsible for burial, care and maintenance of 92 hectares of Rookwood, approximately one-third of the cemetery. We conduct funeral services and burials, as well as inter ashes, for many religious denominations. We also offer a family history research service, conduct restoration projects and provide a site for training in the funeral services industry. In addition to finding plenty of historical information about Rookwood and in particular, the Anglican and General sections, we have also added some new features to our site:
-
Daily Services – a list of today’s burials and ash interments
-
Grave Search – coming soon - search for a deceased family member or friend in the Anglican or General section records
-
Monuments in Memoriam – our own stonemasons specialising in construction and renovation of monuments
-
Reflections at Rookwood – information on our new café, the perfect place for a quick meal or to hold a function/wake
-
Booking Request / Calendar – view our calendar and request an online booking for the All Souls Chapel, a Monuments in Memoriam sales appointment or a Reflections cafe function
