The Anglican and General Cemetery Trusts are responsible for the burial, care and maintenance of 92 hectares of Rookwood, approximately one third of the cemetery.

The many communities within the Anglican and General sections are interred across the cemetery in various sections. You can see these sections in more detail on our map. Other religions are buried within the four Denominational Trusts that manage the rest of Rookwood Cemetery.
Most of our sections are named by ethnic background (and hence are self-explanatory) however there are some sections with their own names:
